Medication-Assisted Treatment in Atlanta
The successful treatment of addiction can involve many factors. Short term treatment programs, residential treatment, and support groups such as AA and NA are all methods of addressing substance abuse and addiction. In combination with these and other treatment modalities, medication assisted treatment can provide pharmacological support for individuals who are motivated to overcome their addiction. At this practice we are experienced in the treatment of substance abuse disorders as well as co-occurring psychiatric disorders. We often work collaboratively with therapists and rehabilitation centers to provide medication assisted treatments including Suboxone, Naltrexone, and Antabuse. Concurrently, we will address psychiatric issues that may complicate recovery and/or contribute to addictive behaviors.
Effective Treatment for Many Psychiatric Disorders
The unfortunate reality is that although many people are affected by mental health problems, only a fraction end up getting the treatment they need. When therapy alone is not enough to ease your symptoms, combining it with medication can provide invaluable relief. Dr. Waldman has helped many patients overcome a variety of mental health issues with psychotherapy and/or medication. Some of the issues and mental disorders that we are able to treat include:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Mood disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Psychotic Disorders
- Personality Disorders
- Substance Abuse and Addiction
Personalized Mental Health Treatment
No two individuals have the same neurochemistry, personal history, and life experiences. Therefore they won't necessarily get relief from the same treatments. we will take time to get to know each individual patient and will comprehensively evaluate your circumstances and needs to provide the most effective and appropriate treatment possible.
